December 1 marks World AIDS Day. On this day every year, our community remembers and honors those we have lost during our three decades of fighting HIV/AIDS. We also celebrate all that we have achieved in this fight together. This year marks World AIDS Day’s 25th annual observance – an important milestone. More people around the world are united in the fight against HIV than ever before. This is a heartening fact, considering how much we have yet to do to find a cure and stop transmission. Fenway Convenes Meeting on Recent Breakthroughs with Antiretrovirals and the Future of HIV Prevention in Gay, Bi Men and Trans Women

About 75 LGBT and HIV advocates, researchers, health care providers, and policy makers gathered at The Fenway Institute‘s Boston home on October 29 and 30 for a convening on antiretrovirals and HIV prevention. Leaders from the Human Rights Campaign, National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, Equality Federation and several statewide LGBT groups participated, as did federal and local HIV prevention policy makers, leading researchers, and HIV advocates.
