LGBT Elders in an Ever Changing World Conference To Explore Challenges Of LGBT Seniors, Caregivers

Fenway Health’s LGBT Aging Project is excited to co-sponsor the LGBT Elders in an Ever Changing World 4th Annual Conference on March 20. This interdisciplinary practice and policy conference will be focused around the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender older adults and caregivers.

Robert Espinoza, Vice President of Policy at Paraprofessional Healthcare Institute and a member of the Diverse Elders Coalition, will deliver the keynote address. Over 20 difference workshops will be featured throughout the day, covering important topics, including Intro to LGBT Aging, Intro to Elder Services, Policy and Practice sessions. The conference will also include a screening and discussion of award-winning director Stu Maddux’s latest film, Reel in the Closet.

LGBT Elders in an Ever Changing World will be held on Friday, March 20 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the Salem State University School of Social Work Marsh Conference Center, located at 71 Loring Avenue in Salem.

Online registration for the conference – which includes admission, continental breakfast, lunch, and closing reception – is $95 for adults and $45 for seniors (60+) and students with current student ID. Event day admission at the door is $120 for adults and $70 for seniors and students. Please add $30 for 4.5 Social Work, Mental Health, or Nursing CEUs.
