Fenway Health is pleased to announce the publication of a new report highlighting our commitment to gender affirming care. Comprehensive Transgender Healthcare: The Gender Affirming Clinical and Public Health Model of Fenway Health. This report, which explains our care model and the history behind how our gender affirming services have evolved over the years, is a collaborative effort between a number of Fenway’s dedicated minds from the Medical Department, Behavioral Health, the Transgender Health Program, and The Fenway Institute. Dr. Harvey Makadon Speaks On LGBT Health At UAB

Dr. Harvey Makadon, Director of the National LGBT Health Education Center at The Fenway Institute, visited the University of Alabama at Birmingham last week to give a presentation on LGBT health concerns. As a leading national authority on LGBT health care challenges, Dr. Makadon travels frequently to educate and inform providers on how to better care for their LGBT patients. During his UAB presentation, he shared some troubling statistics on LGBT health care disparities.
