1340 Boylston St. Receives PCMH PRIME Certification

Fenway Health is pleased to announce that our 1340 Boylston St. location has achieved Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) PRIME Certification status. The Massachusetts Health Policy Commission (HPC) awards PRIME certification to health care facilities that are committed to integrating behavioral health and primary care services. This certification is in addition to our current NCQA PCMH Level 3 status and is offered only here in Massachusetts. PRIME status serves to recognize Fenway’s efforts to integrate behavioral health care and primary care. Governor Recommends Cutting Investment In HIV Prevention By $4.8 Million

Gov. Charlie Baker has recommended cutting $4.8 million from the state’s investment in HIV/AIDS prevention, education, and outreach in his proposed FY2018 budget. The recommendation follows a $900,000 9C cut in HIV/AIDS prevention by the Gov. Baker to the current fiscal year’s budget. That would bring state funding for HIV/AIDS prevention to $28.3 million. According to the state’s most recent fact sheet on the HIV epidemic in Massachusetts, the percentage of people living with HIV in the state increases approximately three percent each year. “From 2000 to 2014, the number of people living with HIV infection increased by 56%.
