HIV And Young People: Combatting Health Disparities

It’s Pride Month! This is a great time to pause, reflect on our history, and celebrate the vibrancy that is the LGBTQ community. It’s also an opportunity for us to take a look at the issues impacting the lives of those in our community who are most vulnerable: our youth. In the U.S., young people (aged 13-24) account for roughly 1 in 5 new HIV infections. Rates of infection tend to be higher for youth who identify as LGBTQ.
