From the State House to the shores of Provincetown, there’s nowhere that Carl Sciortino, Executive Director of the AIDS Action Committee, won’t go to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS. On September 17, Carl will be strapping on his helmet and joining hundreds of dedicated riders and crew members for the 14th Annual Harbor to the Bay (H2B) bike ride. Carl’s passion for AIDS advocacy long predates his leadership position at AIDS Action Committee. When Kaan Apaydin signed up for his first Harbor to the Bay (H2B) ride in 2015, he was sure of two things: he wanted to support the work of the AIDS Action Committee, and H2B was the perfect event to raise funds for this work. He was less sure, however, about whether he could complete the 125 mile bike ride from Boston to Provincetown. “Last year was my first time riding that many miles, and it was my first fundraiser,” he said. “I had to build my strength from the ground up.” After meeting AIDS Action Committee Executive Director Carl

With this year’s Harbor to the Bay (H2B) charity bike ride less than one month away, longtime rider Andi Genser is gearing up to once again trek the 126 miles from Boston to Provincetown, all to benefit the AIDS Action Committee. A former AIDS Action employee and organizer of past fundraiser the Red Ribbon Ride, Andi was already a veteran of HIV/AIDS charity events when she rode her first Harbor to the Bay. “I really could see firsthand the work that [AIDS Action] was doing, and I could see how having flexible money from rides would help the organization,” she
