Advocacy Alert: House FY18 Budget Amendments

Following the release of the Massachusetts House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee’s annual budget last week, totaling just over $40.3 billion, deliberations are scheduled to begin Monday, April 24. Shachar visited today to discuss transgender issues in the Israeli military and in Israeli society and learn about Fenway Health’s transgender health work. Lt. The Fenway Institute will be leading a training in delivering quality, cost-effective health care for LGBTQ people in the NYC Health + Hospitals system in New York City. NYC Health + Hospitals is the public health care and safety net system for New York City and serves more than 1.2 million patients annually. Remembering Dr. Judy Bradford

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Dr. Judy Bradford passed away this weekend after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  As Co-Chair of The Fenway Institute from its inception in 2001, Judy played a key role in building a framework for LGBT-focused research and teaching. She was the first research scientist to head a National Institute of Health (NIH) funded population studies center focused on sexual and gender minority health, and the first to receive NIH funding to support a summer institute to train the next generation of LGBT health researchers, held right here
