1340 Boylston St. Receives PCMH PRIME Certification

Fenway Health is pleased to announce that our 1340 Boylston St. location has achieved Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) PRIME Certification status. The Massachusetts Health Policy Commission (HPC) awards PRIME certification to health care facilities that are committed to integrating behavioral health and primary care services. This certification is in addition to our current NCQA PCMH Level 3 status and is offered only here in Massachusetts. PRIME status serves to recognize Fenway’s efforts to integrate behavioral health care and primary care. Fenway Health Launches New Diabetes Support Group

Looking for a confidential space to share your experiences and get support around living with diabetes? Fenway Health is excited to launch a new 10 week diabetes support group, co-facilitated by a therapist and a registered nurse. The purpose of this group is to provide space for participants to share their thoughts, ask questions, and strategize on how to stay on track with self-care and disease management. There will also be opportunities to hear from specialist providers who can speak to diabetes care topics such as eye care, foot care, nutrition, exercise, and alternative therapies including acupuncture and massage. From humble beginnings in a church basement to becoming a global leader in LGBT health care, research, and advocacy, Fenway Health has always aimed to embody the best that a community health center can be. This week, we reflect on four decades of care at Fenway. August 9 through 15 marks National Health Center Week, a time to celebrate the legacy of community health centers and look ahead to what the coming years may hold.
