TransECHO Promotes Knowledge Sharing to Improve Care of Transgender Patients

The National LGBT Health Education Center at The Fenway Institute is excited to announce the launch of Transgender Health ECHO, a collaborative educational program centered around improving care for transgender and gender non-conforming patients. TransECHO is part of the larger Project ECHO initiative, a learning and guided practice model for health centers and health care providers to both expand and share their knowledge across organizations. Fenway Partners With Attorney General’s Office To Improve Care For LGBT Patients

As a new chapter in our continuous commitment to supporting the health of LGBT people, the National LGBT Health Education Center at the Fenway Institute has partnered with Attorney General Maura Healey’s Office and the Massachusetts Hospital Association in a training initiative for hospital personnel aimed on improving access to medical care for LGBT patients across the state. Fenway Health is excited to announce that our second annual Transgender Health Conference: Advancing Excellence in Transgender Health will be held this fall on September 23 and 24. Dr. Kevin L. Ard Honored By Massachusetts Medical Society With Its 2016 Men’s Health Award

Ard, M.D., Medical Director of the National LGBT Health Education Center at The Fenway Institute, is being honored by the Massachusetts Medical Society as the 2016 recipient of the Society’s Men’s Health Award, an honor recognizing an individual who has advanced the cause of men’s health.
